Next Coffee was founded by two brother-in-laws who shared more than just family ties — they shared a deep, unshakeable passion for coffee, food, and the kind of spaces that make people feel genuinely welcome.
For years, they dreamed of creating something that Pietermaritzburg was missing: a café that felt like a second home. A place where the coffee was exceptional, the food was crafted with care, and the atmosphere invited you to stay a little longer.
In 2022, that dream became a reality at 122 Town Bush Road. What started as a passion project quickly grew into one of Pietermaritzburg’s most beloved gathering spots — a testament to what happens when genuine love for hospitality meets a community hungry for connection.
